- Aljustrel and ValinhosIt was in the small village of Aljustrel that the three little shepherds were born. Nowadays, the house where brother and sister Francisco and Jacinta lived is open to the public, as is Sister Lúcia's house, converted into a museum showing the way of life there in the early 20th century. Leaving from Aljustrel, you can follow the Valinhos via sacra, the path the little shepherds used to take from Aljustrel to the Cova da Iria.
- Life of Christ MuseumThis museum has 210 wax figures on exhibition. They represent 33 different scenes from the life of Christ, from the annunciation to the ascension of Jesus.
- Moeda CavesThe Moeda Caves are located in São Mamede, in Batalha Municipality, just 2 km from Fátima. The cave is at a depth of 45 metres and the extend of visitable area is 350 metres.
- Fátima Olive Oil MuseumThe Fátima Olive Oil Museum tells the story of olive oil production in the region. It also includes an area for promoting other local products, such as honey, cheese and wine.
- Batalha MonasteryBuilt as a memorial to the Battle of Aljubarrota, Batalha Monastery is the most significant Portuguese Gothic building. It is in the centre of Batalha and has been a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1983.
- Convent of the Order of Christ and CastleThe Templar Castle/Convent of Christ was headquarters to the Temple Order until 1314 and became headquarters of the Order of Christ in 1357. It is located in Tomar and has been a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1983.
- Serras de Aire and Candeeiros Natural ParkThis wild and rugged park has caves and grottos, rich and varied fauna and it is one of the biggest and most important sites for sauropod dinosaur tracks from the middle Jurassic period (175 million years). There are 16 walking trails you can use to get to know this protected area.
- NazaréA typical fishing village, Nazaré is now one of the most popular summer holiday destinations in the country. The highest point of the town, accessible via a funicular, is worth a visit as it is its most beautiful viewpoint.
- Marinha Grande Glass MuseumThe story of Marinha Grande cannot be told without talking about the history of the development of the glass industry. It began in the 18th century, when a factory was opened. This is where the Glass Museum is now located.
- PenicheA peninsula with a diameter of around 10 km, Peniche is a paradise with dramatic scenery that will take your breath away and it is the best place in Europe for observing migratory birds. Peniche is known worldwide thanks to its excellent surfing conditions.
- BerlengasThe Berlengas archipelago is a veritable geological monument, an important record of the history of Earth and the formation of the continents and oceans. It is of unequalled beauty. It is located seven kilometres from Peniche and is a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.
- Atlantic Road – EcotrackThe 62 km of the Atlantic Road Cycle Path make it the longest in the country, offering exceptional conditions for cycling, skating, skateboarding and scooter riding. It passes through four municipalities in Leiria District: Marinha Grande, Alcobaça, Pombal and Nazaré.
- Pia do Urso Eco-Sensorial ParkTheme park adapted to the blind, the Pia do Urso, in São Mamede, Batalha municipality, is a place loaded with a lot of history and legends, Pia do Urso offers a truly stunning landscape. Along its pedestrian path you can observe the geological formations - the so-called "sinks" - where, in the past, bears drank water.
